John Timothy Jackson has served as the principal engineer at Nyetvork in Vancouver, British Columbia, since establishing the business in 2013. As the company’s leader, John Timothy Jackson oversees design and development projects with numerous tier 1 carriers, vendors, and enterprise organizations. Previously, he gained experience in network segmentation design and development as a senior network architect at Rogers in Brampton, Ontario.
John Jackson began his career as an architect and Internet protocol (IP) development professional with Terabeam Networks in Redmond, Washington. He spent four years developing IP and multiprotocol label switching-based transport networks and related services before taking on a similar position with AT&T Wireless. He gained further network experience as a senior engineer of carrier networks with Juniper Networks in Chicago.
Mr. Jackson received his economics degree from McMaster University. He is a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in routing and switching. When he is not managing business activities at Nyetvork or engaging with professional organizations such as the IETF and IEEE, he can be found walking his dog or spending time with friends and family.
